Honestly, I was feeling nervious because I have no idea how Aspen IPO will be received by the market at the very end. My understanding of market demand and trend was right at least from what was reported by Straits Times news today. I have given in my efforts ensuring that my clients would be able take part in this IPO and I hope things will turn out well tomorrow. In time like this, there is no certainty that Aspen IPO could open strong tomorrow because overly subscribed IPO could also mean that there will be sellers in huge quantity. Fingers crossed, we hope for the best.
Updates : 4th August 2017
Aspen successful listed in SGX. It was unfortunate to see that IPO opened below it's IPO price of 0.23. As of today, one week after IPO, the company is still trading at 0.23. Learning from this IPO, I conclude that market or funds are still very picky about which IPO to support. Even though I learnt that Setia Malaysia was the anchor subscriber for Aspen IPO, it did not promise Aspen with Post-IPO price support. I noted this is an important aspect of IPO play.
